Brad Doerksen
Photographer. Spirited Adventurer.
Brad Doerksen is a Canadian Photographer who has captured the beauty of his homeland and various other landscapes around the world. He grew up enthralled with nature, living close to mountains and forests of the Fraser Valley, British Columbia, Canada.
In his late teenage years he travelled to South Africa to participate in the Wildlife Film Academy in Kruger National Park, where he learned the art of filmmaking. As he grew into a man he received a Diploma in Adventure Tourism, using his new found diploma, he ventured into the mountains of the Fraser Valley where he worked as a Snowboard Instructor and Snowshoe Guide. He then relocated to the Coast Mountains, Whistler, BC. There he worked in the summers as an ECO Bear Tour Guide, seeking out Black bears (and the occasional Grizzly) bringing people closer to nature and hoping through their experiences with him, they would have a better appreciation of our wild world. All the while capturing photos of the wildlife that call Canada their home.
After living in Whistler for a time he met the love of his life and moved to the land down under, Melbourne, Australia. Here he has immersed himself into a new and wonderful landscape to capture all the unique wildlife it has to offer.
Always wanting to challenge himself and learn new and exciting techniques he has started to capture the love and beauty of Weddings; as well as fun filled events. Utilising his skill as a landscape/wildlife photographer he is able to add an unique perspective that is quintessentially Brad.
